Is Glossier REALLY worth the hype?!

Glossier is known for their “no makeup” makeup look and that’s what their customers like about this brand. I had been on the fence on purchasing some products from Glossier because I really didn’t know what to expect. I finally decided to buy some products and ended up liking them! Although, their makeup is definitely better skincare!

Perfecting Skin Tint: I have to admit that I was a little skeptical on buying this product until I tried it at Glossier LA’s store and I fell in love with the light coverage dewy look! This product is truly not for everyone because of the coverage. The skin tint gives a very natural/sheer finish! But, sometimes I really need more coverage so I put my Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Concealer or I use the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. This  reduces any redness upon the face, which is AMAZING!! Some key ingredients are Diamond Powder, Glycerin & Polymer X. This product retails for $26 for 1 fl oz.

Cloud Paint: I wasn’t a blush girl until, Cloud Paint! I purchased this blush in the shade “Puff” & it is the perfect baby pink color. I love that it is very natural & buildable. They also have a variety of shades that would work best with any skin color. This blush is super creamy and blendable. (tip: use your fingertips!) Some ingredients in this are Collagen & Powder Pigments. You need to try this blush!! This product retails for $18 for 0.33 fl oz.

Generation G lipstick: This sheer matte lipstick is amazing! I purchased the shade “Like” and it really enhances your natural lip color. It’s your perfect “on the go” lipstick and you can always through it in your purse. I love that it is matte because it feels like there is nothing on your lips! Some key ingredients are Coated Mica, Blue Agave, Safflower Oil & Triglycerides. This lipstick retails for $18 for 0.07 oz.

Lipgloss: WOW! Literally the glossiest lipgloss ever! This product is the perfect lipgloss because it is NOT sticky or includes glitter. Which is freakin’ incredible! It is very long lasting and light weight. The key ingredients are Vitamin E & Conditioning Polymers. This product retails for $14 for 0.14 oz.

Milk Jelly Cleanser: Love the Milk Jelly Cleanser as an everyday face wash! This does claim to remove excess makeup, but really I use this after all make makeup is off. The jelly formula is very nourishing on the face. It’s gentle, creamy upon the face which makes it suitable for all skin types. Leaves your face glowing!! Some ingredients this product includes is Poloxamer, Rose Water, Comfrey Root Extract, Aquaxyl & Vitamin B. This product retails for $18 for 6 fl oz.

Balm Dotcom: When I received my lip balm’s I was in love until about a few weeks later when the consistency changed. It appeared that the beeswax in this product became oily, similar to a lipgloss, versus a smooth lip balm that I expected. I was really disappointed of the outcome of it. I decided to stick it in the fridge and the consistency did improve. I had both the Rose & Mint Balm Dotcom and loved the scent of it. These products are very long lasting, which is great! Some key ingredients are Castor Seed Oil, Beeswax, Cupuacu Fruit Extract & Rosemary Leaf Extract. This product retails for $12 for 0.5 fl oz.

Invisible Shield: This product to me was really overhyped in the beginning of summer because it was a clear sunscreen. I decided to give in and bought it! I didn’t think it was anything special because other sunscreen brands had clear ones too! (Supergoop & Coola) It was a lower dose of SPF, so you did have to constantly reapply it during the day. I loved how it felt light weight & smelled great! Some key ingredients are Microcapsule, H2O, Sweet Orange Peel Extract & Vegetal Extract. This product retails for $25 for 1 fl oz.
